The story of „Daniel” Center
Where it allstarted ….
I’m one of those mothers who have lived the drama of losing a baby.
All this suffering gave me the power to fight, so that on September 17th 1990 together with other parents we established the Association of Children with Neuromotor Disability (that is currently named “Daniel Centre” Association).
In the next three years, the members of the association attended training courses for parents, conducted by specialists in Special Education from the Götheborg Pedagogical University, Sweden, and on June 5th 1993 we opened the “Daniel” Neuromotor Rehabilitation Centre.
It’s been 26 years since the Daniel Centre planted hope, trust and chances among our suffering fellows. After all these years of activity for children and their families, I can say that life is a gift from God. It’s beautiful and sometimes hard. Why? Because if we would not go through heavy moments, we could not appreciate the good ones. It’s the natural course of life.
I have the greatest joy when I see the innocent smile of the children, along with the confident face of parents and grandparents, who see the visible progress of the children. All this progress is a result of the efforts, dedication and professionalism of the young specialists that worked and are working at the Daniel Centre.
My gratitude to parents because they have and had trust in us and because they understood that their role is most important in raising, educating and developing their own children!
None of this could have been done without the help of our financiers, sponsors, and partners. For all those who have helped us increase the quality of life for children and young people with disabilities, contributing to what Daniel Centre is today, a sincere THANK YOU!
Our desire is to maintain the same achievements in the future, to continue offering the highest quality services, to promote partnership between all social actors and to contribute to increasing the quality of life for children and young people in difficulty.
With all my love and gratitude for all of you!
